"Meditative Yoga"
Sunday October 7
In meditative yoga, we begin with the breath. Using the breath, meditation, and asana (yoga poses), we begin the process of reuniting body, mind, and spirit. This is an introduction to yogic thought and practice through a spiritual lens. We will relearn how to breathe as we did as children and notice how the joining of breath and physical movement opens us to new awareness. This gentle practice is compassionalte and honors all bodies as the "art" of the Creator. Offering $10-$60 on self-sliding scale.
After this retreat a Four-Week Meditative Yoga Class will be offered on Thursday evenings October 11, 18, 25, November 1 from 7 to 8pm. The retreat and class are independent of each other. Participation in both is not required. Cost for this four-week class is $40. Some scholarships are available.
